We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic individual to join our client's team as the Front Office Manager for a prestigious luxury all-suite hotel in Umhlanga, South Africa. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pre-opening team and play a key role in creating exceptional guest experiences.

As the Front Office Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the front desk operations and guest services department. Your exceptional leadership skills, attention to detail, and passion for providing outstanding customer service will be crucial in establishing the hotel as a premier destination in Umhlanga.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the front office team, including receptionists, concierge, and guest services staff
  • Ensure seamless check-in and check-out processes, providing a warm welcome and personalized service to guests
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures to maintain high levels of efficiency and guest satisfaction
  • Train and motivate the front office team to deliver exceptional service and resolve guest issues promptly and effectively
  • Monitor and evaluate guest feedback, taking proactive measures to address any areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and effective communication
  • Manage room inventory, optimize occupancy levels, and implement revenue management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and industry regulations

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Front Office Manager or in a similar role within a luxury hotel or resort setting
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve exceptional results
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding customer service
  • Proven ability to handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with hotel property management systems and reservation software
  • Sound knowledge of front office operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, room allocations, and billing processes
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred
