Inventory Control Specialist


 

Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Inventory Control Specialist. You will be responsible for tracking all inventory to ensure our company can maintain proper inventory levels for products, raw materials, equipment and supplies as needed. This role will also focus on learning and understanding the current inventory control process then creating and documenting formal policies and procedures pertaining to the company’s specific requirements. You will identify and document any discrepancies or losses at the end of business operations each week then update the policies and procedures so they can be prevented from happening again.

Job Type: Full-time.
Pay: $28.00 - $31.00 per hour.

Inventory Control Duties & Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all matters relating to inventory processing and control.
  • Ensuring, through a review of documents, that all arriving stock receipts are efficiently and carefully executed from receipt to designated bin/stock location.
  • Track and adjust any receive inbound field shipments with discrepancies.
  • Verify that received items are transferred to their proper bin/stock location.
  • Research inventory discrepancies with the assistance of department and receiving managers.
  • Properly prepares inventory and quality investigations and audits.
  • Maintain inventory integrity through cycle counts and various audits (A, B, C)
  • Work with the warehouse team to keep ‘Inventory Go Backs’ up daily.
  • Coordinating monthly/quarterly physical inventories and development of follow-up reporting.
  • Conduct a recount investigation to determine root cause if an item is verified out of range.
  • Identify and research new procedures and protocols for process improvement.
  • Daily activity reporting and KPI reporting.
  • Continuous Improvement projects as needed or required.

Inventory Control Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED,
  • College degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an inventory role.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office Applications is required.
  • Understanding FIFO (First In / First Out) and FEFO (First Expired / First Out)
  • Must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
  • Familiar with data entry systems
  • Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment.
  • Written and verbal communication skills a must.
  • Experience with budget management.
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify defective products.
