Job Description:
As a Kitchen helper, your attention to detail and passion for food quality will show your co-workers and our guests that you are committed to providing outstanding Guest experiences. The energy and enthusiasm you display will create a fun and enjoyable place to work, while keeping in accordance with Health & Safety and Resort standards. Our Kitchen team is responsible for ensuring lasting memories through every dining experience.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Assist with food preparation when directed by Chef Wash dishes and cutlery using a commercial grade dish washer and by hand
- Clean work surfaces Mop floors
- Empty garbage and recycling
- Receive and check deliveries from suppliers
- Deep clean kitchen on a regularly scheduled basis
- Work in accordance with food safety, health & safety and Pinestone Resort Company Standards
- Attend scheduled employee meetings and sharing suggestions for your department and the resort
- Assist with kitchen Opening / Closing duties while following the assigned checklist
- Flexible working hours to accommodate event-driven business needs - this position requires evening and weekend availability
In order to be considered for this role you must have:
- A minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate in English including, reading, writing and speaking
- Ability to lift, push and pull required load (30lbs)Ability to work standing, sitting and walking for extended periods or an entire shift
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Ability to manage physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend
- Ability to plan and organize workload.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to commute/relocate: Haliburton County, ON - reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work is required
