Primobius is the result of a joint venture between Australian stock exchange-listed Neometals Ltd. and privately owned German plant engineering and technology specialist SMS group GmbH. Primobius offers a unique and sustainable method of recovering valuable lithium, nickel, cobalt, and other materials, for example carbon, from end-of-life or defective lithium-ion batteries (LiBs) from electric vehicles and consumer electronics. Production Engineer
YOU ACT
As a production engineer you will provide technical and operational support for black mass production at Primobius' recycling facility in Hilchenbach. You will join our growing team and be responsible for Monitoring operational performance, collecting data across different units of operation whilst supporting health and safety regulatory requirement compliance by operations. You act as an independent thinker and keen problem-solver, diagnose problems, and provide effective practical resolution recommendations; other tasks include:
- Oversee the recycling processes, ensuring production efficiency and effectiveness is achieved in a safe, efficient manner
- Metallurgical accounting and Production reporting
- Liaising with other engineers to develop plans that improve production, lower costs, and improve recoveries and product quality
- Diagnosing opportunities and problems in the production process and providing recommendations - management of improvement programs
- Establishing safety procedures and protocols that take workers' well-being into account and safety reporting
- Stakeholder engagement and liaison
YOU KNOW
You have a degree in process engineering (chemical engineering); other important aspects and skills include:
- Proven experience in engineering and in Operating plants
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Strong leadership abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in both English and German
- Ability to make decisions under pressure
- Great attention to detail
