MS Core and Cloud Specialist VAS [Romania]

This Job Role is responsible for the coordination, management, and execution of proactive and reactive maintenance activities that require a Second Level Operations support in the Technical Authority departament. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.

You will:


  • Ensure Technical Authority Support Activities, Incident Management, preventive maintenance and performance management
  • Assist with Problem Management and support in project activities
  • On regular rotation base covering the 7x24 Call-out responsibility
  • Handles from reception until closure of the Trouble Tickets and Service Requests from customer and assure the time restoration within SLA.
  • Participate in the creation / updating of the procedures and the Technical Instructions in order to be in line with the technical standards in force. Provide support in improving technical procedures.
  • New equipments Handover process involvement
  • New solutions technical impact analysis involvement
  • Coordination and training of new team members if nominated to perform this activity by the direct manager.
  • Experiences and continuous self-improvement in Telecomunication and related activities within the project.
  • Generate scripts or any other program required in daily activities.


To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Degree in Engineering preferably in Electronics, Computer science, Telecommunication or equivalent
  • Have a proven track record in the Operations and Maintenance of telecom networks
  • Good level of English, other languages are a plus
  • Good understanding of 4G networks
  • Linux operating system commands
  • Cloud infrastructure OpenStack
  • 5G Telco Cloud Infrastructure (NFVI, Edge)
  • SS7 & SIGTRAN protocol stack and troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of servers HW/SW and their characteristics in Service networks area (e.g., SMSC, Voice Mail, Enriched Messaging etc)
  • Basic experience with Databases: Oracle, LDAP
  • Good understanding of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence & Cloud technologies
  • Understanding of IP routing protocols and MPLS will be a plus
  • Automation experience through scripting knowledge will be a plus (bash, perl)
  • Core network performance/configuration parameters and their interpretation and usage
